The RA-03 looks to expand upon the 02 Series success. The preamplifier section of the RA-03 is based on the award winning RA-02, which is combined with the power amplifier section of the critically acclaimed RB-03 power amplifier.

As with all Rotel amplifier designs the circuit board layout employs techniques critical to achieve audiophile sound quality, utilizing components selected for both their technical and sonic qualities. Separate ground paths for both signal routing and power supplies which incorporate copper bus-bars for high current sections. Component selection has again been given great care and attention. The RA-03 features newly sourced American made low noise-resistors. The line stage op-amp and the op-amp that buffers the input stages from the line stage are also new Burr Brown devices. The output stages feature electronic protection circuits that automatically shut the amplifier down in the event of overheating or improper speaker cable connections. A purpose designed, Rotel built toroidal transformer is complimented by British designed and built slit foil capacitors to provide the power supply of the RA-03. The RA-03 comes with a 02-Series “complete system” remote control The result: Superior resolution, a wider aural frequency range, deeper, more realistic bass and a big sound stage.
